- Denver Tax Attorney
“Any one may so arrange his affairs that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which will best pay the Treasury; there is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes” – Gregory v. Helvering, 69 F.2d 809, 810 (2d Cir. 1934).
Is the tax man knocking on your door? My name is Keith Buckley an associate attorney with Dill Dill Carr Stonbraker & Hutchings, PC, and I will answer that door. I am not afraid to take on the Internal Revenue Service or State taxing authorities to ensure that you will not be disturbed again.
I know that client’s lives – and livelihoods – can be severely harmed or destroyed when tax troubles arise. Individuals and small businesses typically do not have the resources to successfully navigate the tax code nor the ability to confront tax issues when they arise. I strive to help business owners and individual clients resolve their tax issues so that they can go on with their lives. With a focus on tax law, I will assess which path forward is right for you.
My experience involves representing clients in divorces, post-decree matters, collections, and business formations. In these representations a common theme of taxes arose which led me to further pursue a LLM in Taxation at the University of Denver. With a diverse legal background and the understanding of taxes and tax consequences, I am able to effectively represent my clients in all aspects of their legal matters.
I am a proud alumnus of the University of Colorado at Boulder where I obtained my undergraduate degree and grew to enjoy the endless adventures Colorado has to offer. I was briefly pulled away to attend law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. After law school, I returned to Colorado to begin my legal career and enjoy Colorado. When I’m not representing you in your tax matters, I can be found giving back to the community as a volunteer firefighter and whenever I get a chance to escape the city, I can be found in the mountains enjoying its natural beauty by snowboarding or climbing.
